| dc.description.abstract | This study examined how globalisation affects security, with particular reference to Nigeria. It focuses on its meaning, historical perspective and the social, political, as well as economic effects of its security on nations, with specific reference to developing countries. The study also considers the managerial implications of globalisation and security in Sub-Saharan African countries. The study is in the form of a literary review and is exploratory in nature. It recommends that less developed countries with security challenges as a result of globalisation, should objectively reassess the phenomenon and be proactive about designing security blueprints considering current trends, and the development of indigenous technology to enhance the competitive-ness of local institutions and enterprises, in addition to exporting such technology to other developing countries. | |
