This archival-based study explores the connection between climate change resilience and neighborhood security. It emphasizes the vital role of neighborhood surveillance and highlights the importance of children’s active participation in strengthening resilience. This is especially relevant in both urban and rural areas affected by environmental degradation and social insecurity. Despite being among the most vulnerable to disruptions caused by climate change, children are often left out of security initiatives. This research advocates for their inclusion in neighborhood surveillance programs, showing how their involvement can greatly enhance community resilience. By drawing on ecological resilience theory, child rights literature, and case studies from regions impacted by climate change, the study demonstrates that integrating children into community security efforts is both feasible and essential. Such integration can help foster neighborhoods that are more resilient and better able to adapt to environmental challenges
